I held the position of Director of the Asturian Institute for the Prevention of Occupational Risks (IAPRL) during the 2007-2011 term, leading a technical body with 63 professionals and an annual budget of approximately 10 million euros, in addition to the 22 million euros linked to the occupational health and safety chapter of the ACEBA 2007-2011.

During that period I took on responsibilities in the negotiation and execution of Chapter V of the Agreement for Competitiveness, Employment and Welfare of Asturias (ACEBA 2007-2011), in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Plan of the Principality of Asturias 2007-2010, in the Observatory of Working Conditions and in working groups of the Spanish Strategy on Occupational Health and Safety.
